LOL

This guy's going to be easy to pick on. Will he keep campaigning now that he's won the Presidency? He's never stayed in a position very long. He might go run for the Presidency of the EU before he's inaugurated here.

Yeah, what's going to happen when he's bored running the country?  Think he'll just turn everything over to Joe?

I don't know. But this website makes me think that Obama still thinks this whole thing is a game. He won the game and now he's still trying to play it. I can see him making the White House webpage some sort of interactive youtube page with videos of himself and running commercials promoting his administration for the next 4 years.

He is an EU outsider who can bring much needed change and new ideas to Brussels. Sounds like he's perfectly qualified to me.

He'd probably get 90% of the vote.

Nah. Europeans love the idea of America electing a minority President, but they themselves would probably never do it.

So, we basically did their job for them?

change.gov, eh.

lol

Talk about a contradiction in terms. You can have change. Or you can have Government.

I don't see any problem with it except that it uses a campaign slogan in an official government website.  It shows a little disrespect to the outgoing administration.  They could've used something a little more professional like "obamatransition.gov" or "whitehousetransition.gov."

But no big deal.   Had my candidate won it would've been kind of a cool website to look around.  To the victor goes the spoils.

ha ha, change.gov is quite brilliant. Someone on Obama's IT team has a bleak sense of humor.

How about we act like its 2008, the internet is a viable means of communication with millions of interested Americans, and he's the Fracking President-Elect! Why can't he set up a website? Its a transition website... hence CHANGE!

on the other hand, McCain Palin could have easily as started "whosinnafta.gov?"

Wow, this guy has a huge ego. But we already knew that. The bar is set so high for this joker I can't wait until that bar hits him square in the head.

its a web site people, a web site don't you think you guys are making too much of this, people are really grasping for straw's with this whole OMG, obama is so arrogant he think's he the one narrative.

I was watching morning Joe the other day Joe Scarballz was saying that obama is arrogant and has a huge ego and then litterally like a sentace latter he said "when I ran for conngress my supporters would run though walls to vote for me ".

maybe obama has some what of an ego but most poltiticans seem to, I would rather have a president
that was sure of himself then unsure of himself.

Thats a good point states but, I have herd people say that they don't like bush because he is arrogant, I never hated bush for being sure of himself,  but i think unlike bush obama is willing to admit mistakes sometimes and I think obama will listen to voices that differ from him. where I think Bush seemed to always want people who agreed with him. he fired alot of people who had dissagreements with him.   he is an article that talks about soem of the people bush fired for dissagreements.

What are the odds that Obama himself decided to have this web site? Anyone?

He has a lot of supporters with a lot of technological skills.

It's an official government site.  I'm sure it was brought to his attention.

I'm sure he knows about it.

I'm not getting the idea that he summoned this page into existence as a sign of his hubris. The page was someone else's good idea. He approved it. So what? It's not his initiative, and even if it were, big whoop.

This is still "silly season," along with the claim that choosing a mainstream Democratic congressman as his Chief of Staff was a declaration of war on Republicans.

Doubt it. That was in 2000. So, in terms of Information technology: two centuries ago. But I guess it was the election where presidential candidates had websites for the first time ever (?).

There were campaign Websites in 1996, not that anyone visited them.

Here are archives of all '96 candidates' sites: http://www.4president.us/1996websites.htm
