Joseph Robinette is certainly up there, but the longtime Senator from Delaware fails to win the oldest elected Vice President of the United States cigar. Alben William Barkley of Kentucky, who was President Harry Truman's running mate in the Presidential Election of 1948 became the oldest Vice President elect in November 1948 aged 71. So no, Joe is not the oldest Vice President elect.
