Obama leads America into an unpopular war with Iran and/or Russia. The economy continues to tank in the meantime. Hillary Clinton uses this as an opportunity to run for president again, and hopefully with better results than last time.

How credible is "credible?"

such so that at at least one point, it appears as if Obama could be defeated.  in other words, somewhere between Kennedy1980 and Buchanan1992.

If it's from the left then It can't be Hillary, who ran to the right of Obama. I really expect a Kucinich type (though not Denis to be sure) to pop up evevtually, as Obama is likely to govern Centre-left.

Probably if his Health Care proposal is defeated and the economy is in the toilet and it is blamed on Obama not being liberal enough or drawing a tougher line.
