Hey guys, just making a thread here. I'm running for the newly-vacated national senate seat.

Would you vote to repeal Taft-Hartley, if it's still on the books?

Excellent post, Ben!

Will you repeal the age of consent laws, too? That's obviously my #1 priority.

Age of consent is sixteen in the southeast, not young enough for you sir? Tongue

I'm not Xahar; I don't have the time to search through every thread and see if the law was repealed.

You have plenty of time.

Not as much as you do.

But not to read through 4 years of threads, looking for Taft-Hartley being overturned.

I used the search feature, and it appears the legislation was never repealed.

I kindly request that you two take this fight away from my thread.

As to the Taft-Hartley Act, I honestly don't know too much about it so I honestly can't really say. I'd say I'd be a tad more sympathetic to the side advocating its repeal but I honestly would prefer to hear both sides in the Senate debate before I decided.

Also, thanks Jas.

After much consideration I have come to a decision on who to endorse. Before I begin I would like to say that I did not think of party preference when I considered who I would back. That being said I have chosen to endorse Bacon King in the special election to fill my seat. Bacon King is a strong legistlator who has proved himself in the past. We know that he is willing to question others and thinks for himself instead following party lines. I am confidant that under Bacon King's tenure important legislation will be introduced, actively debated (at least I hope) and passed. I hope that as the outgoing senator who held this position and a current governor you will listen closely to my words and vote for Bacon King as your next senator. Remember it is important to have a number of voices that represent varying views in the senate, we cannot have one ideology or train of thought dominate our fair land.

God Bless Atlasia
