What's he supposed to do?  Meet with Dick Cheney?

It was actually a somewhat serious question, Lunar.

Has he done national interviews?  Has he visisted the VP residence where he'll live?  Has he commented on much of anything since last week?

I know they hid him during the last week(s) of the campaign, but why now?

Cheney is still in hiding too. It would be hard to arrange a meet!

Were Vice President-elects Al Gore, Dan Quayle, George Bush, Walter Mondale, Spiro Agnew, etc. doing anything more notable than Biden at this point during their respective transition periods?

Excellent question and perhaps a great point.

I think it's noticeable to many because I really don't hear anyone disagreeing with the fact he was hidden in the last couple weeks of the campaign and perhaps that is what is more notable.
