Is it too early to create one?

Does Alison Schwartz still have any aspirations about being a Senator?

I seriously doubt either of these two are going to be on the ballot come November 2010.

Any aspirations? Her political life has been dedicated to it. I really doubt that she sits this one out.

Almost always the case two years before an election (especially for a poll taken right after an election).

Seriously?

Anyway, now the the chop-busting is over, I agree with you. Specter will retire, and Matthews probably won't run. If he does, he'll probably win, in my opinion.

Specter won't just retire. As for Matthews, while his views are probably rather mainstream here, he has the problem of being a nutcase. I don't think we'll ever be in the position to say that he'll "probably" win the race.

Thanks PPP. I wouldn't find myself than winning is better than losing!
Good news for Specter.

Nutcases get elected all the time, and they don't have the kind of name recognition Matthews does... plus, him being a nutcase is debatable.

As for Specter, "retire" is a euphemism for "retire from life"... I'm not happy about it, but it's probably going to happen.

It's different when you're life has been dominated by political commentating on national TV.

Who knows? This guy has more lives than a cat. I can see a situation where he lives until 2016 and wants yet another term. At that point, I could be a possible challenger.  Wink
