Isn't he kind of a single-issue candidate?  And the GOP already tried the earmark-busting deficit-hawk from Arizona thing.

How are Pence and Flake any different? They are still ideologues that cannot win on the national level. Go ahead. Make folks like that the new Republican party. Maybe they are "pure" now, but watch out. Their belief that the government should be outsourced to the Fortune 500s and the Catholic Church will change that.

It's not that they want the government outsouced to Fortune 500s, but that they don't want Fortune 500s outsourced to the the government.
