There should be a nationwide campaign to boycott Alaska until they change the name of their airport to something not named after a criminal.

If that's the standard then I want all the Lincoln HS nationally renamed.

Since they likely ended up voting for him after he got convicted, why would they do this?

At least 4.  Houston, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.  That's just the first page of Google.  I'm sure there are more.

We're not talking about a real state.  The real question is whether they'll rename more things after Stevens Roll Eyes

No, but he'll still win there.  Numbers are everything sometimes.

I dunno about the other three states, but Georgia's Jefferson Davis High School is named after the county it's in.

This is the problem with naming things after people before they die. Unfortunately, our airport is named after Norm Mineta (an American hero).

I'd advocate Don Young International Airport. To be renamed two years hence when he's convicted too. Smiley

Ottawa airport is named after two persons at once.

I support boycotting Anchorage too, BTW.

I miss the days when Minnesotans just named things simple names... like "Metropolitan Stadium" or "Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport"

Though we have duly honored the Humph... with the Humphrey Terminal at the airport and the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.

If it makes you feel better, States... my mom's high school in Bloomington, Lincoln High School, was closed in the early '80s due to declining enrollment leaving Jefferson and Kennedy High Schools.  The building was sold to Control Data Corporation and was used for defense contracting services.

I'm full of useless information.
