Santa Clara County (my county) (Stanford, San Jose State, Santa Clara)
2004: Kerry 63.9%, Bush 34.9%
2008: Obama 69.6%, McCain 28.6%

Alameda County (Berkeley lol)
2004: Kerry 75.2%, Bush 23.3%
2008: Obama 78.8%, McCain 19.3%

Santa Cruz County (Santa Cruz)
2004: Kerry 73.0%, Bush 24.9%
2008: Obama 77.8%, McCain 19.9%

Yolo County (Davis)
2004: Kerry 59.3%, Bush 38.8%
2008: Obama 67.1%, McCain 31.0%

All of these counties have so many people, and the colleges already politically active that I believe the college effect was rather marginal. And turnout was WAY down in all of them.
