Other than the obvious glaring negative aspect, they all have at least some redeeming factors, and many are fascinating, amusing gentlemen (and I think one lady).

I have to respond to two of these...

Keystone Phil-  knowledgeable, if he gets away from Assad he'll improve greatly

LOL

The person mentioned is a friend, not an influence on my behavior.

Keystone Phil mixed opinion...can be friendly...but he can also be extremely arrogant at times when talking about certain things. He's also a partisan hack, but he is fair when he loses...hmmmm.

I'm not going to argue about the "arrogance accusation." It's the "partisan hack" comment that bothers me. I think I've made it quite clear that I've strongly supported several Democrats and have criticized by party plenty of times. I'm definitely not a partisan hack (just like I'm not "extremely conservative" - another infamously inaccurate criticism frequently thrown my way).

Supersoulty
He tends to get too emotional at times and make mistakes. But he's a real human being and I have a lot of respect for him. Great guy.

Keystone Phil
A bit too confrontational towards those who disagree with him on stuff. Would probably benefit from chilling a little bit. Nice guy, however.

Mike Naso
What is there to say? The forum couldn't live without him, and I actually think he has improved a lot with time. Give him a real relationship and he might mature into a very reasonable person.

fezzyfestoon
A good risk player! I think we're diametrical opposites in terms of political and moral philosophy. I really dislike his view-point, but he seems to be a nice and intelligent representative of it.

AHDuke
One of the better Republicans. I suspect most of the things about him that I don't like will disappear with age.

Inks
We don't share many views, but he's a nice guy.

Kevin
I don't have much of an opinion.

Rin-chan
Very nice person. Smiley

Supersoulty - Intelligent, pragmatic, real. His party needs to listen to him more.
Keystone Phil - Mixed. Smart but way too touchy. Lighten up!
Mike Naso - Unintentionally hilarious.
fezzyfestoon - Complicated and a little in denial about certain things IMO (Romney), but on the whole a good poster.
AHDuke - Ugh.
Inks - Very nice person.
Kevin - LOL
Rin-chan - Way smarter than she lets on. She needs to start contributing actual content.
MasterJedi - Neutral.
Ronnie - Fairly positive.
Torie - Positive but frankly seems like more of a Moderate Democrat lately.
Aksaber - Freedom fighter, obviously.
phknrocket1k - Very funny guy, love talking to him.
DWTL - Asshole with ridiculous views.
ColinWixted - I miss him, but he is sort of like Torie.
A18 - Neutral
Jake - Cool, like Rin he needs to post more content.
PBrunsel - Neutral
Winfield - See Kevin.

Cry  Yes Cry

Rin-chan - Way smarter than she lets on. She needs to start contributing actual content.
Rin-chan again...not much to say....seems quite friendly....but never chooses to take part in political discussion....I mostly get the feeling she's Republican by default.

Thank you, guys, for your nice comments.  However, I don't participate in political debates because I'm afraid of confrontation.  Among other things.  I'm one of those people that has strong political opinions, but won't tell you unless I know you really well.  And, sorry, I probably won't be contributing much political content.  I'm on here because I think the vast majority of people on here are awesome and hilarious. Smiley

And *hugs* to everyone else who said something nice about me in this thread!!  You know who you are!! XD

Supersoulty Strongly favourable opinion of this FF.
Keystone Phil Again, strongly favourable opinion of him.
Mike Naso I like him.
fezzyfestoon The Romney signature creates an immediate negative reaction for me, but that's more Romney than him. That said, I haven't actually got any problem with him, he seems like a pretty good bloke when I read what he's got to say (rather than just noticing his signature and judging him on that).
AHDuke Good bloke.
Inks Strongly favourable opinion of him.
Kevin Don't think I know him?
Rin-chan Probably the most friendly, happy, bubbly, and outright nice person on the forum. I don't think I've ever seen her say a negative word about anyone. She's one of those people who has such a sunny disposition that her cheerfulness seems to make the room seem somehow lighter and brighter than it was before.
MasterJedi Strongly favourable opinion of him.
Ronnie I usually confuse him with Torie. I think they have fairly similar opinions on policy, they are both over the average age of Forum members, both of them are both knowledgeable and wise (my definition of wisdom is the practical application of knowledge). Their libertarian views probably create difference of opinion with me on some issues, but I hold them both in considerably high regard.
Torie See above.
Aksaber Again, I disagree with some of his social policy views, but I consider him favourably.
phknrocket1k A great guy to chat with.
DWTL I disagree with his position on Israel and I think he could probably not pick quite so many fights with BenConstine, but I like the guy.
ColinWixted I know that I like him, but at the moment I just can't place him.
A18 I think I've seen his name around, but I can't think of any of his posts just at the moment.
Jake He's a good bloke.
muon2 Very knowledgeable and wise. I like him a lot.
PBrunsel I like him.
paul718 Don't know him?
J.J. Strongly favourable opinion of him.
Winfield Can be a bit hackish when talking about Romney, but I believe he actually knows him personally and I know I can be a bit that way about MPs I know personally, so I don't hold it against him. Bizarrely, while he's probably the bigger Romney hack than Fezzy, Winfield's support of Romney doesn't give me that whole initial negative feeling thing because of the whole personal thing.
