Don't count out a Bill Frist comeback. Not that he'd win, but he's interested.

There are absolutely reports of his running for governor. Also, his "VOLPAC" seems to be supporting candidates across the nation, not just in Tennessee.

I don't think he'd fare well, but I do believe he's tempted.

It wouldn't make much sense for him to run for governor in 2010, and then, the second he's been sworn into this new job, start running for president.  If he runs for governor, I'd take that as an indication that he's not interested in running for president until 2016.

No, Thompson is a total joke and a spoiler. It was thanks to him that McCain won SC in the primaries.
