I made $36,000 off investments alone last year doing nothing. But I bet that goes down with the economic situation. I'm glad I'm still in college right now and not looking for a job.

The most I've ever made is probably high four figures counting every source of income. Parental subsidies are currently my only income though.

What kind of a silly ass would get a job if he was receiving $36,000 per annum in rentier incomes?

Because $36,000 won't allow me to maintain the lifestyle I live? Especially after I inherit all the properties and such. And it varies with the markets, which have been awful.

Who would've guessed that the biggest sh**thole in America was in South Dakota?  I would've thought New Jersey or Mississippi myself.
New Jersey has its problems, but excessive poverty is not one of them.  Camden County is probably the poorest, other horrendous places like Paterson and Newark have large affluent areas like Wayne and Chatham in their counties to balance out

Cumberland County is poorest in NJ, although the numbers aren't that bad there. NJ is one of the richest states in the country along with CT and MD.
