Palin on the other hand, emerged widely popular among her base, despite the loss.

She's clearly not widely popular when she's only leading by three points.

Wow. Fully 55% of the Republican party supports either Palin or Huckabee as their first choice.

Party's over.
This is about name rec. Romney is, basically, being rejected by a wide coalition (both religiouses who don't like a Mormon, and moderates who don't like what he stands for politically. And probably working class voters in general, too.) and Huckabee and Palin are the other remaining leaders with 100% name rec.

Twas a joke... but I still find this result quite disheartening. If Palin/Huckabee can beat Romney (the candidates with near universal name recognition) 55-21, there is something wrong with the party.
and/or with Mitt Romney. Tongue
