First-time poster, long-time Atlas fan here. I just wanted to let my fellow election junkies know about a "crowdsourcing" group project we're undertaking at the Swing State Project, a blog devoted to downballot elections: we're busy trying to assemble presidential results by Congressional district, across the entire country.
As you may know, only a few states make this information directly available. For most states, it's necessary to break down county- and typically precinct-level results to come up with by-CD numbers. So there's a lot of work involved - but with a collaborative effort, we can make it happen.
Anyhow, you can see the first fruits of our labors here:
http://www.swingstateproject.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=4137So far, we have data for a little over 100 districts, and we're working on more as we speak. If you'd like to get involved, take a look at our master spreadsheet here:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pRel6Mvd0g072wmxzYC1xEA&pli=1You can see which states still need data sources, and which states still need number crunching. You can jump right in with spreadsheets of your own - just upload them to Google Docs and put links in the right places.
We hope folks find this useful, and we look forward to having new people join us!
