He still doesn't qualify.

Might want to change the bar a little. 3K is quite low.

Yeah, I've decided to change the bar for the newbie category. Just check the first page (which has been updated).

Ok, good call.  I don't know who I would choose with <3000 posts.

<100 posts would be easy for me, but I actually can't think of anyone at the top of my head that is <3000.

My rivalry versus is not even my best rivalry yet it is gaining so many votes.  Just to think that Xahar could have placed his party and possibly himself in the presidency if he would have taken the RPPs alliance

I'll look back in my files to see whether that was true.
Files?  It was a well-known forum fact

EDIT: for our specifics check your PMs from August 24th

Yeah. Your insistence on the top stop doomed that. But apart from a few scattered PMs in late August, the idea was never seriously considered.

We considered it very seriously.

Really? Wow. I didn't even mention it to anybody else.
Good call on your part. Nobody would have followed you.

1. Best Overall Poster of the Year? Torie

2. Funniest Poster of the Year?* Joe Republic, Dave Leip (even if his material is a little smutty)

3. Troll of the Year? ghostmonkey, the Chinese handbag guy, AngelFromKansas (who is still a man and still from Britain)

4. Most Influential Poster of the Year? SamSpade (I don't know what this means but I think he influences a lot of the election-gazing here, and it was better than an "under the influence" pun ugh)

5. Most Enthusiastic Poster of the Year? cutie_15, Xahar, PiT (something in the water in Cali)

6. Most Cynical Poster of the Year? Boss Tweed, and very self-consciously so

7. Angriest Poster of the Year? CARLHAYDEN

8. Rivalry of the Year?** J. J. vs. Reality (sorry, J. J.  theoretically.)

9. Best Newbie?*** PiT (I don't care if he doesn't qualify I like him and I'm lazy)

10. Atlas Hall of Fame**** Mr. Widdershins of Wales (Al)

11. Poster who provided the Best Election Analysis (NEW) Lunar, jimrtex, Lunar again, edit: MarkWarner08

12. Poster who provided the Best Alternative Timeline (NEW) I have no use for such literate and thoughtful nonesense

13. Hack of the Year (NEW) J. J. (I would feel mean for putting him down twice, but I prefer being petty and vindictive, even when it's totally insincere)

Izixs (very recent newbie) for this: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=86714.0

Oh right, you'd be a contender but the libertarian-leaning person always wins in my book against a populist Smiley

I see less of your posts for whatever reason,

labeling JSojourner a cynic is wholly inaccurate, now that I think of it, if you look at what 'cynicism' originally meant/actually means.  Christianity is incompatible with cynicism.

"losing" would only bother me if it were to somebody who should never have been in contention.

I doubt than somebody really fit the original definition of cynicism. I doubt than somebody acts like Diogenes of Sinope, wants the simplest life possible, wants to live like an animal and does all, really all in public.
