Here we go again...

Try to pick three posters for each category (you don't have to put three if you can't think of that many though). The three posters who get the most votes in each category will be nominated. Posters are allowed to be nominated for multiple awards. You can nominate yourself if you truly feel you deserve to be nominated in a category.

1. Best Overall Poster of the Year?

2. Funniest Poster of the Year?*

3. Troll of the Year?

4. Most Influential Poster of the Year?

5. Most Enthusiastic Poster of the Year?

6. Most Cynical Poster of the Year?

7. Angriest Poster of the Year?

8. Rivalry of the Year?**

9. Best Newbie?***

10. Atlas Hall of Fame****

11. Poster who provided the Best Election Analysis (NEW)

12. Poster who provided the Best Alternative Timeline (NEW)

13. Hack of the Year (NEW)

* You can nominate people who are intentionally funny or unintentionally funny.

** You must must nominate sets of two people, groups, ideas or something like that (Example: BRTD vs. Waltermitty)

*** Poster must have registered less than two years ago and have under 10,000 posts.

**** Poster must have at least 10,000 posts and must have been registered here for at least two years. There is also no need to vote for opebo since he has already entered the Hall of Fame.

You can vote for people who won last year in any category (except for opebo in the Hall of Fame cat.)

You can also change or add votes until I close down voting in this round.

I'll leave this up for at least a week.

Actually Torie and PiT both have over 3k posts.

PiT joined on July 11, 2008; his post count is so high because he averages 31 posts a day.

He still doesn't qualify.

Might want to change the bar a little. 3K is quite low.

Yeah, I've decided to change the bar for the newbie category. Just check the first page (which has been updated).

1. Best Overall Poster of the Year: Mikado, Torie

I'm flattered.

Seriously, though, I'm going to nominate myself for best newbie, because I just noticed that I'm still slightly under 3k posts.  Smiley  I'm also nominating Mint for the same category because I'm a sucker for flattery.

I think he has more than 3K.

Yes, but his current account doesn't.

That's cheating.

The 3K rule is no longer in effect.

Most civil?  I just called Bono a "cartoon" and antileftist a "fool" yesterday and blew up in J.J.'s face a bit ago. Smiley  I've also called CARL an asshole and creepy, but that's pretty reasonable.  What are you talking about though -- when I have calmed you?  I'm amused by this

Child's play. You must have missed my feud with R. Stark or the legendary States/bgwah encounters.

true, true. I must now refuse food for the next week. And I'll let you slide, since you gave me my sole nomination in these awards.

Don't feel bad. I think my only nominations so far this year have been in the "most enthusiastic" category. wtf?

I will count them up but it will take a while.

You want to do it? Go for it. Just inform me of the results.

I thought everyone forgot about this. I'm working 11 hour shifts right now and I don't feel like counting the votes but if somebody else wants to count them up and report the top three vote getters in each category, let me know.

Also some people may want to change some votes around considering all the crazy stuff that has happened in recent weeks (the return of Stark, Straha, kingofthebenchpress, the Xahar/benconstine drama, etc).

Query:  Who is already in the Atlas Hall of Fame from last year, Eraserhead? (because I distinctly remember the question)

I think it is opebo

figures

Yeah, it is in fact opebo.

Impressive, Lunar. Since everything has been counted, I'll put the next round up shortly.
