So effectively it's all based around him being a solid, moderate administrator who happens to be from your state?  Haha, that's fair, but that's not really exciting.

I'm not jacking off to Barbara Boxer, am I?

She has 0 potential to go further though

Well, I wouldn't have been jacking off to Moscone, either.

who?

George Moscone. Name's been all over the local news recently.

*looks it up* the ex-mayor of San Francisco who died 30 years ago?

If I have no idea who you're talking about, as a political junkie, I doubt this Moscone guy is the equivalent of Warner who delivered the keynote address at the DNC convention.

I know, I know. But you ought to have heard of him. He's the reason Dianne Feinstein is a Senator today. He's also the reason an unhealthy treat became associated with a court of law.

But I can't think of any equivalent at all.

I always heard "Muscone" attached to "Harvey Milk," as in, "Muscone" was the other guy who got shot by junk-food guy.

And he has the Moscone Center named after him. But I don't suppose you're familiar with that.

I like the guy and was disappointed when he decided not to run. I still hope that someday he becomes President, but I can't help but feel that he missed his chance. Fact is, there likely will be some fresher faces in the running, and the question I have is whether or nor Warner will be overshadowed by them.

The same applies to Feingold and Bayh as well.

That's what I'm worried about, too; he'll be overshadowed by a lesser, but more exciting, candidate.

BUMP

IIRC, I was the poster Ben referred to when he mentioned that it was "mentioned in the other thread".

Anyway, I'm actually a Warner fan. It's too bad that I can't see him ever becoming President, though. He was my ideal choice for the Dems in 2008, and it's a shame he didn't run. Sad

He's creepy and I don't understand why he's so popular amongst Virginians(granted, he did run against Gilmore).

We need a Kurt Warner fan club page, he should move to VA and become a senator. Third time's the charm...

Yeah, creepy is the word for Warner.

Or at least his obsessive fanboys.
