Indiana will never go blue again and was lucky to have went for Obama.  So I say Indiana.

That's a pretty unreasonable statement, unless you have a crystal ball?

Secondly, presidential election results (although they are ONE source) aren't entirely indicative of a state's relative conservatism.

EDIT: and how is 60-40 the same as 2:1?

Indiana can defeinitely god dem again. I'm not saying 100% that it will in 2012, but young voters there voted overwhelmingly(!!!) Democratic, and although they can't carry elections in the short term, they'll be able to later on.

If by "blue" you mean "Democratic", you are almost certainly incorrect. Secondly, that's a fairly silly reason to base your response to this question off of.

NO, I base it off of this

The state has voted republican since 1964.  We've all known for a while that NC was trending blue. To put VA in perspective,  presidents like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton the only two Dem's in the last 40 years was able to win southern states, however never won Virginia.  That states voting record is pretty clear.

So, Virginia is very socially conservative?
