Never. The party will continue to lose around 25-30 seats in the House and 6-8 in the Senate every year. The 2012 nominee will also win fewer than 50 electoral votes. By 2016 the party will be in complete chaos, leaderless and entirely without power at any level of government. *If* they manage to get ballot access in 2016 they might be able to win a state or two, but by 2018 the party infrastructure will have all but collapsed.

If Obama is this much of a success, probably 2020.

When the rapture occurs, the Republicans will gain back both the House, the Senate and the White House. Until then, the GOP will just have to be comfortable with their judicial appointments legislating from the bench. ...but probably 2020, unless he is another Jimmy Carter.

I believe Obama will win in '12 and be the most popular president abroad that ever existed.
I think in the USA, he will have a 60% approval rating. But I believe the Democrats will nominate and extreme liberal like Gavin Newsom, and the Republicans will regain the White House, with someone like Charlie Crist, Mike Pence, or a Tom McClintock.

I like McClintock too, but he's (most likely) a freshman Congressman-elect who barely won in a fairly Republican district and has minimal name recognition outside of CA solely because he nearly acted as a spoiler in the 2003 Recall.

But hey, stranger things have happened.

McClintock won't be president.

That's funny though

He's my new Congressman [when not in college] though!

Of course I want Obama to do good, if he does not then it only makes our own country worse for the next four years. But regardless of what I want, I do predict that he will do badly.
