In 2008, Dennis Kucinich suprisingly wins the Democratic Nomination. Mike Huckabee wins the Republican Nomination.

What would be the results?

The radical liberal against the conservative. At least Huckabee is more moderate.
Despite the election results, I still think America is moderate, probably a bit more conservative than Democrat. Huckabee would win.
(Note: This is about the only possibly candidate Huckabee could have beaten)

Huckabee is by no means more moderate Kucinich.

Huckabee is by no means more moderate Kucinich.

Relative to the majority of the American electorate, you bet your ass he is.

Bloomberg wins PV, no winner in EV... goes to House. From there, who knows?

Interesting.  If it's just Kucinich vs. Huckabee with the same economic and general political environment, then the reult is a narrow win for Huckabee, because Kucinich is just too far left to win over the middle:

Kucinich      248
Huckabee   290

But, if Bloomberg gets in the race, it's a whole different story: Bloomberg, with his social liberalism and economic expertise, in this case devours the entirety of the centrist vote in the country and leaves the other two candidates at the margins.

Kucinich        150
Huckabee       81
Bloomberg    307
