George W. Bush vs. Rod Blagojevich

Bush runs fo a third term. After a deadlock between Obama and Clinton, Blagojevich is the compromise candidate.

Bush picks Giuliani as his running mate.
Blagjevich picks Dodd as his running mate

Numerous scandals emerge about Dodd and Blago.
Bush campaigns heavily on the economy, while Blago focuses on Foreign Affairs to blame Bush. Giuliani heavily hits Dodd on the Countrywide Scandal.

Cheney retires.

Implausible. yes.

Intresting. hopefully.

Blago wins in a 49-state landslide due to non-Illini not knowing who he is.

Even Bush, with his record low presidential approval levels, would make short work of the scandal ridden Governor of Illinois, who has a 4% approval level in Illinois, and is rated the most unpopular Governor in the country.

No way America elects the crooked Illinois Governor, who, along with his wife, are on the take to some of the most disreputable characters ever to have trodden the Illinois halls of power.

I'm torn between option 2 and 3, but slightly leaning toward 2.

More interesting, I think, would be a Blago vs. Taft vs. Murkowski election. Whoever wins, we lose!

You know what is intresting, Blago was considering a run for the Presidency in the near future 3 years ago.
