If all Rastafarians smoke weed, and some Rastafarians are Christians, which of the following would be true...

A - Some Christians smoke pot
B - All Christians must be high on something
C - This was a dumb question

Yes. An offshoot with peculiar beliefs, but Christian none the less.  Belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, use of the bible, belief in the holy trinity, etc.

Their views of the Trinity and Haile Selassie.  I'd put the Rastafari movement in the same category as Mormons.

Anybody who says they are Christian is a Christian as far as I'm concerned.

Christian - 1 a: one who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Pretty simple.

I believe in his teachings. Does that make me a Christian?

I doubt that you believe that accepting Christ is necessary for salvation, which was one of Jesus' "teachings," per the NT at least

But I don't accept the NT as documentation of his teachings.

Not quite. People tend to pick and choose their "foundational teachings" as it were. That is, if they even know apart from being told ad nauseam.
