Same.  Mother's father.  We're a lot alike.

Option 5. I hardly know my grandparents.

Option 5 because I honestly cannot choose. I lost all four of my grandparents within the last five years, and I think playing favourites at this stage would be disrespectful.

Option 1, but I don't like the phrasing. It's not that I don't like my paternal grandmother, it's just that I'm much closer (for a variety of reasons) to my maternal grandmother. I never knew my grandfathers, sadly.

Both my grandparents (one living, one deceased) on my mothers side. We don't have a good relationship with my fathers side as they never forged a good relationship with us as children.

Father's side grandmother, but it's very tough.  I was extremely close to my mother's father, and took it very hard when he died, so it's a difficult decision for me.

Grandma on dad's side. My mother's parents were both dead before I was born, and grandpa on dad's side always makes something go haywire. BTW, my grandma can play Mortal Kombat.

I'd have to say my maternal grandfather. I never knew either of my paternal grandparents, but my maternal grandfather was a very successful guy.

When he became manager of quality control at the company, he wanted an office a little higher up, so he built one with his own two hands. He also performed maintenance on all of his own cars. He also drove like a maniac, but never got into an accident because he was a peerless wheelman.

My maternal grandmother was probably a little troubled, but a well-meaning person.

The rest of them...um...thankfully I only get a quarter of their genetics apiece.

Well, the one that is still alive. But, she'd probably be my favourite anyways. My other grandmother died when I was 7 and had alzheimers. Never knew any of my grandfathers, but one was an alcoholic, but apparently good with kids.

Father's side grandma.

My mom's mom died when I was young.  Her dad was kinda rough.  I wouldn't call him mean, but he wasn't exactly the world's friendliest person.

My dad's dad divorced my grandma years ago and he moved to TX, so I see him once every couple years.

Living: My dad's mom

Dead: My dad's dad, but he's my ultimate favorite.  He died when I was 8, but he was totally the best grandpa ever while he was alive.  I cried every night for almost 2 years after he died.

My mom's mother. Her husband died before I was born and my dad's parents were nice enough, but never really did anything fun with us (partly because they were/are a lot older). My mom's mom always did fun stuff with us and still does.

I was very close to all of my grandparents.  My mother's parents had a part in raising me when my mom was sick in the hospital, but my father's parents were around a lot too.

I can't say I like any of them better than the others...

My dad's mom was the "oh, just pick the damn chunks out of the milk.. it's still good!" type while my mom's mom would always wear an apron (white after Memorial day, black after Labor day) and wore pearls when she vacuumed.

My mom's mom is not June Cleaver... she is what June Cleaver aspired to be.

I don't really have a favorite.  My grandmother on my fathers side worked in the government as a "Roosevelt Girl."  My grandfather on my mothers side was a machinist.

Dad's dad. Was probably the best human being out of my grandparents, so I used that as a tiebreaker since I liked all four.

I don't have a "favorite" so to speak.

Though, the grandparent I was closest to was my grampa on my mom's side. We were really close. He was the kind of grampa who could tell you the same story over and over, and you would not get tired of it. He was stern, when you mouthed off or were unruly. But those were the only times when he was mad at you. Opinionated and politically incorrect were traits of his also.

He died a little over 5 years ago. Honestly, my life hasn't been the same since.
