I'm looking at the College Board's Course Descriptions, and they seem surprisingly easy.

AP Government and Politics - Senior year of high school

I got a 4 (or was it a 5? Is that even possible?) on the test.

Next year I plan on taking either AP Euro or AP Ancient Civ, and eventually I'll take AP English and AP Biology, along with various AP history courses.

I took AP Psychology and AP Studio Art in high school.  AP Psych was easy and AP Art was a lot of work.

I find it incredibly stupid that my High School doesn't even offer AP courses. That said, I capitalize on their College Dual Enrollment quite well. They pay for my two college courses that I take a semester (I only have to pay for the books) and I get two hours off of each school day. I love it.

I've taken AP European History, AP US History, AP English Language, AP Economics (Macro and Micro), and later this year I'll be taking at least AP Psychology, AP American Government and AP Comparative Government.

Wow, I feel like a total loser now.

AP Courses I took (with an asterisk if I took the AP test):

AP Computer Science A
AP Computer Science AB*
AP English Language*
AP Physics B
AP German Language*
AP Biology*
AP Calculus AB*
AP Statistics*
AP English literature
AP Environmental Science*
AP Macroeconomics*
AP United States Government*
AP European History*

My school was pretty hardcore about APs, but it means I get to skip like a year of intro classes, so I'm down with that.

Sigh.

Calculus AB

Calculus BC
European History

U.S. History
Statistics
English Language & Comp
World History*
Human Geography*

Spanish
Comparative Gov't & Politics
U.S. Gov't & Politics
Physics B
Psychology

*Taken without the class.

Apparently my high school offered 25 AP classes.

You can get a 5 on Human Geography without the class, Xahar; just buy a practice book and you'll do just fine.  World History is doable after Euro and APUSH (again with practice book).

Do as many as possible but they can get expensive if your state doesn't subsidize the prices down to $10/test like Minnesota does Grin

Right now, I'm looking at Language & Composition, Chemistry, US History, English, Calculus (one of them), Physics (one of them), US Government, and Spanish. I'll probably independent study some more.

Ditto. My HS (in MN) chose not to offer any. They felt that better grounding in the basics would serve their students better. For those few (typically less than 1%) who truly could benefit from AP, they offered to arrange class schedules to permit taking classes at the U of MN or another college in the Twin Cities.

Alas, my parents both worked, I couldn't yet drive, and the bus schedule didn't mesh with a mixed day at the U and HS. So I had neither AP nor college courses prior to entering college. I think it's safe to say that it didn't hurt me academically or professionally.

I don't understand these people taking 10+, the most one could reasonably take at my school is about 6 or 7, and there is no one taking more than 5 in total.

Here's my list:
AP US History (scored a 5)
AP Physics B (scored a 3 which was a miracle)

Dropped due to wanting commit suicide from boredom:
AP English

Dropped due to passing to AP Physics:
AP Biology

I took Bio, BC Calc, US History, CS AB, French; Physics C, English Lit, French Lit, Econ (both).  Didn't take the tests for the last two because I knew I would be going to a school that didn't accept them, and ended up going to a school that doesn't accept APs at all.  (Yeah, we're hardcore like that.)

I also self-studied for Chem.  Why?  I don't know.  Tells you how useless the tests are though given that I got a 5 without really knowing a significant amount of chemistry.

What a silly topic, really.  This just means I went to a soul-sucking Silicon Valley public high school.  Some of the classes were good; the only one I really regret taking is econ, because it was useless and the teacher was a jerk.

Which soul-sucking school exactly?

I have taken AP US history(my appreciation of that class has grown immensely over the years), AP Government, AP Bio, AP Econ(Macro), AP Chem and AP Statistics. I don't really wish I had taken more, although my school at least offered 5 or 6 more. The only exception is AP Calc which would have really helped me out in college. Also now I realize AP Psych would have been freaking easy.
