Yes, party ID is relevant.  My roommate was curious as to party breakdown.

Real tree.  When I was growing up, we slogged our asses out into the woods looking for the perfect spruce or balsam and cut it down.. and hauled it home in a truck and then put it up.  ONe year we had a 16 foot tree (we had a log house with vaulted ceilings and big windows in front)...

That thing was a pain to decorate.

Anyway, it was always freezing cold (like below 0) with waist deep snow and there always seemed to be more uphill than downhill... which isn't any better in waist deep snow... but you get my drift Smiley  haha.. drift... I know, I'll shut up.

I've had the same fake tree for like 10 years now.  It's a "real" looking 9-foot Southern Fir.  I would like to have a real tree, but since I'm not home for much of the day, it's not worth it.

My family had a fake tree up until about seven years ago. Now we get a real tree. That's always a treat.

I don't think Christmas-style fir trees grow in Australia. We've got some types of pines that some people sometimes use, but when small they look kind of scragly. My parents have a very nice fake tree.

As a kid, we got a real tree every year.  Now I live with my uncle and we don't put up a tree.  But if we did, it would be a fake.  Fake is the way to go, in my opinion.

Same here, it is especially sad because we live by all the X-mas tree farms.
