And then basically revealed it was all a ruse just to get her out of the Senate?

Hell yes. That would rule so hard.

I'd love it and it'd be funny, but I am afraid the stakes are too high for this to happen...

Somehow I don't think that would go over too well.

It'd be worth it just to see how the HillaryIs44 people would react.

For one thing, she could just go and win back her Senate seat in 2010 anyway, so besides being massively stupid and childish, it would also epically fail and destroy his approval ratings.

So, I guess if that's what you want to happen, then it'd be a great idea.

No it would not be awesome, it'd be incredibly stupid....not to mention simply wrong.

Wow! Yes, BRTD! Talk about a total win-win for some of us - Hillary would be out of office and Obama would look like the biggest asshole ever!

Maybe BRTD is actually a GOP operative...

Why would the GOP want Hillary out of office? You all love her and she's one of your best allies on the Dem side. You're not getting anyone better from New York.

No (Sane)

Sure it might be funny at the time to some, if such a dismissal was to occur weeks into the Obama Administration, however, it would ultimately destroy Obama's credibility and reputation as President. Thus, I do not agree with such sentiments that it would be quote awesome.

She isn't liberal or hyperpartisan, but even if she was, why so much ire? You don't hear as much directed at Dick Durbin or Chris Dodd.

Anyway, I know the scenario is ridiculous and won't happen. I don't even care, Hillary will most likely be a good Secretary of State. The SoS doesn't make foreign policy, just carries out the President's (Colin Powell confirmed this), and she is a good diplomat.

They hate her to the degree they do because of all the stuff thrown at her in the '90's. Basically.

I'd rather Obama burn up political capital in a more productive manner.
