What would be "enough"?

(I agree with your sentiment though)

Considering the morning after pill is already available over the counter, maybe this will actually reduce abortions, Vander Blubb.

^^^What he said - this will likely reduce abortion rates. And my first thought upon reading what's happened is the thread title.

The morning after pill is[/is] an abortive substance, because it doesn't allow for the implantation of a fertilized egg.
That said, since this refers to the contraceptive pill, not the morning after one, it's a good thing, I agree.

Yes, I agree with both points you've raised here - that the morning after pill is abortive, but this thread is about the contraceptive pill.

guess that makes sense....but I still don't think that should play a role in selling the pill....regardless of legality.

16-18 with parental consent? If not, strongly disapprove.

And if a 16 year old whose parents don't allow it still has sex? What then?

16-18 is still above the age of consent. But they can't have a contraceptive pill? Really? No condoms for them, either unless mommy buys them? This isn't even the morning-after pill.

I concur with the title of the thread, likewise with the sentiments shared by my fellow Australians, Hugh and Shane who believe that such steps as seen this month will actually reduce the amount of abortions in the UK. Its a win-win to a degree for those who are pro-life and pro-choice. Though I am quite sure numerous pro-lifers will disagree.

Will be interesting to see in 15-20 years the type of unforeseen negative health effects this causes.
