I wrote some notes on this, but accidentily wiped them :-(

Oh well... I'm delighted at the GA-12 result, relieved at the VA-9 result ("thus always to NASCAR!"), disappointed at the IN-9 result, stunned at the IL-8 result, and suprised at how close some results were (especially WV-2).

I'd say 15-20 points would be a landslide, but good list

The New York Times had rated the House races before the election.

For the 11 Democrat Favored seats, the average final margin was 14%.

For the 10 Democrat Leaning seats, the average final margin was also 14% among the 9 that were decided.  They did lose one of the seats IN-9 and could lose the runoff in LA-7.

The 7 tossup seats were decided by a 4% majority, with LA-3 to be decided in a runoff.

The 15 Republican Leaning seats were won by an average margin of 14%, including the one that was lost (IL-8).

The 21 Republican Favored seats were won by an average margin of 15%.

The other 371 seats were rated as Solid Demcrat or Republican.

I took 20 points as the cutoff point...you have to pick some point. Also, the Wu race was considered competitive by some and putting the cutoff point lower would have missed it.

I thought Wu was more vunerable.  That district has been redistricted to favor the Dems more than they were when I lived in Oregon.

If Dems won all non-landslide races, they would control delegations in the following states...

Delaware, N.H., and Iowa would still be Republican and Florida would be GOP 17-8!

-------

If Reps won all non-landslide races, they would control delegations in the following states...

Ark. would be split and CA would be 31-22 and NY would be 18-11.
