What non-basketball-related qualifications does he have?

I have nothing against charter schools. As long as we're not defunding public schools to send people to private schools, I'm fine.

This.

I wish Mike Honda had gotten the job, though. Maybe some other one...

but they'd have to actually deliver and not just be slackers on tenure like most of the people I've encountered.

What bist your job, Lunar?

bist?

And, I may have been exaggerating.

Second-person singular form of "be". Not the correct tense here, I think.

What tense are you talking about, and when was it popularly used?

Present; it's current in German, and it was common in certain English dialects, though that's dying out now.

It most certainly is correct here! As in "ow bist old butt".

Third-person as well?

"Ow bist old butt" is a question and a greeting rolled into one.

What does it mean?

What does it mean?

"How are you, friend?"

It's a Forest of Dean expression. Sometimes it's "me old butt" or "old butty" rather than just "old butt".

Does "old butt" have any cognates?
