Unfortunately, that's not a reason to disqualify him as Senator, though certainly it might be a good reason to not vote for him.  Smiley

It helps blunt efforts to turn his nomination into a racial issue, though.

Which it shouldn't be in the first place. Blagojevich's appointment, no matter who, should not be allowed to serve. That is it. To blame it on anything else is merely proof of incredible stupidity.

why not?  he is still the Governor and has not been convicted of any crime.  (not that the second part is relevant, anyway)
