I'd do it more myself, but they always seem to conflict with my practices/games.

When I played baseball (13 and 14 year old years) it wasn't a problem because my coach was also the umpiring coordinator.  After that I took up tennis full-time and that never conflicts unless I'm late coming back from a match

I work in the Utility Sector with Oklahoma Natural Gas under the parent company "ONEOK" in downtown Oklahoma City.  The Utility industry is one of the most recession-resistant professions out there.  I won't say its recession-proof because never say never, but ONG has NEVER had a layoff in its 107-year history.  The people they've let go were let go by their own undoing.

Thought you didn't know/care about your MPP?

it has been proven that ben has 2 accounts

umm...how?

BTW, I used to do accounting before I was laid off. I do some work for the state and city, and I also do Political Consulting during campaign seasons.

Did you work in corporate or a CPA Firm/Big 4?  Actually since I see the CT avatar there's a possibility you could have done hedge fund accounting or something Wall Street related so I'm curious.  If not did you mostly do tax, attest, or consulting?

Right now the market doesn't look too bad for accountants, but that's relatively speaking.  Anyway, I work at a small CPA firm doing mostly taxes, but right now I'm in the market and have a few things in process- some good, some places I wouldn't send a dog to after interviewing with them.

I used to do corporate for an international ground transportation service.  I've gotten an offer from Vertrue and Diagio recently, so it's all a matter of seeing which one looks more stable, and rewarding.

I used to be a manager in a perishable department for a major grocery chain( up until June of this year).  Now, thanks to hubby's new job,and subsequent pay raise I am a full time stay at home mommy of two--soon to be 3 girls.  I'm pretty sure I'm doing more work now, than when I was getting paid to work!   I am also, a Division officer for the Florida Division UDC( Chaplain).
