Does your selection of Al have anything to do with the fact he is leading your ticket?

What a rediculus notion! Of course it does.

In general I am more moderate and more libretarian than Al. Shocking I know. Al ranges into the liberal-authoritarian range, I am in the liberal-libretarian grid. Al supports government expansion, while I think it is fine where it is. Al is more dedicated to the cause of populism than I am, for sure, while I value the populist message, I don't exclusively identify with it... if that makes sense. In General Al and I probably disagree most on degree and government involvement.

In other words, you are a traditional northeast liberal in a more hippie gay rights marching sense of the phrase than Al, who is more of a midwest economic fighter from the early 1900's?

I have a response to your question, Akno, but I'd rather give a detailed reply than hurry one so I can make it to dinner. I will try if at all possible to post it tonight. :)

I am slightly less of a hawk on foreign policy. I primarily believe that we should wait until all other possibilities have been exasperated, unless lives hang in the balance. That is the primary difference.

I also have different views on which extent environmental laws should be allowed to impact the environment. I consider myself a bit more conservative on the abortion issue than KEmp, but not significantly so.

I am more economically liberal in general.

Hope that answers your question. :)

Can you go into detail on your abortion view?

I do not care either way. It is not of great concern for me. However, I do think we should try to avoid abortions at all costs - it should be a last-ditch sort of thing.

What I hear is that the moderator didn't know there was one and wasn't informed about it. Wink

For the record, I don't eat babies. I'd like to see the other VPs make such a claim!
