Keystone Phil will be a valuable asset to the Republican Party once he grows up and becomes more moderate.

Smiley

From what I've seen, he's more moderate than you on some things already.

It's actually pretty amusing how my conservative nature is ridiculously exagerrated but there's no use arguing that here. Smiley

Extreme HP. He drove off one of my close friends, is a santorum fanboy and tolerates BRTD.

Trying to explain about the first would generate several threads about you claiming to be victimized so I'm going to save us both time and not. Secondly, you let BRTD post in your threads without reprisals. The rest of us tell him to get out.

Well, and hatred of, and desire to primary Specter.  Htmldon and Phil disagree over the value of CFG, so it might not be simply ideologically moderate that Htmldon is talking about but moderate in one's political aims.

I don't put value in those silly tests. I've always felt that way. However, I do remember taking one of them for the hell of it and posted the scores here. I think I was +2 on economics and +4 on social issues. I think, in reality, I'd be +4/5 and +4/5.

Ok, now I think you're just busting on me. I don't know any of your friends every leaving especially over something with me.

He's gotten much better over the past 4 years.  Still comes off harsh at times, but much improved.  I could see him as a candidate someday.

I can't vote HP for anyone who is honest about their opinions and views. I almost never agree with the guy...though I do share his conviction that the RCC gets no credit for the immense good it has done in the world. (He and I and Soulty are of one mind on that count, anyway.)

I'd much prefer he come to his senses and realize the greatness that is Pittsburgh.  But someone has to represent for the eastern part of the state.  And give me Philly over Cleveland ANY day!

He's probably the coolest guy on this forum I can think of.  Then again, the only other person I thought of was Mike Naso, so that hardly counts for anything.

Sad

What did he do to you? I was debating which way to vote and I came down on the HP side but I really don't think he is a very horrible person. I am a little trigger happy when it comes to voting HP anyways.

But the real reason I voted HP is because he's a goddamned guido. Tongue
