I was once one of the silent voters. I was afraid to reply to this thread because all of you "Keystone Phil is the Chosen One" messiah fanatic cultish maniacs would never let me decry your beloved. Perhaps I'm just bitter Roll Eyes

If you have a problem with Phil, that's between you and him.. but I just feel if you're going to vote in a poll like this, it is best to just be honest.  I'm not going to judge you by who you like or dislike.

Yes, I'd like to know who voted HP and won't admit it.

Some of the things Phil does and says might annoy me to no end, but he's got a good heart.
This is pretty much what I was going to say. I like Phil, but I think we disagree on a lot of issues Smiley

In terms of sheer political stance, he couldn't be much more of an HP. He's a pretty nice guy though, once you get past the bitching.

All the "he's a good guy if you ignore how he acts and really get to know him" stuff is true of almost everybody. He certainly has a high opinion of himself. He loves playing the victim, especially if the topic at hand has to do with Italy or the Catholic Church. His tantrums and hackish predictions are notorious. Still, it wouldn't be the Atlas Forum without him.

I've decided to stay quiet here until now.

I don't play the victim when it comes to Italy or the Church. I strongly defend both (among other things) and that bothers people. People get pissed off when they can't just piss all over the Church with their out right lies. I apologize for not letting BRTD run wild with his Catholic bashing and misinformation.

I don't have an especially high opinion of myself and if you'd get over whatever problem you have with me (as I know you do, memphis. You have for quite awhile. That's not me playing the victim either. You've made it a point to bash me on several occassions), you'd be able to see that quite clearly. Ask anyone that actually knows me. Hell, take a look at a certain thread on this board to see how high my opinion is of myself. That's one thing I really can't stand about select people here. I'm told that I'm very egotistical. You can call me a lot of things but that is not one of them.

Also, you have three "hackish" predictions on me. Three. My haters seem to have convinced a lot of people that I'm almost always wrong. This is far from the truth.

For those that had nasty things to say, more power to you. I'm not going to say that I enjoy the dislike especially when a sizable amount of the forum feels that way. However, I do welcome to criticism and I love the opposition. It challenges me to defend what I believe.

What I can't stand for is when people mischaracterize. There are plenty of valid points against me but I can't stand this nonsense about how I constantly make hackish predictions and how I'm self obsessed with a high opinion of myself.

For everyone with positive comments, thank you.

100% FF. I have always search for someone who shares the following things with me: Pennsylvania Conservative Republican who was either really pissed, or crying at the sight of Santorum's concession speech in 2006, unwilling to tollerate the decades long liberal hold on the PA GOP. Untill I joined this forum I thought I was unique. Phil is all that and much more. Nobody, not since Andrew Jackson, has someone stood by his opinions as much as Phill does sometimes I wonder if he would go so far as pistols at ten paces if it were legal. He has defined the phrase dogged tenacity. Yet he also displays a level of intellectuallism on certain things which I find refreshing. Though he does have a bit off a temper, that is cancelled out by his sense of humor( I really agree we need more rinos like Bill Sali and Marilyn Musgrave in the party Smiley ). I do love Italy and would like to visit someday, After I visit The Netherlands and France of course Wink .

and he called me a child.  and gets whiny.  but generic ff.

Yes, I called you a child when you decided to pull a BRTD and bump some old threads.

I doubt that I ever called you a troll, Tender. I may have found that prediction hackish (especially if it was made weeks before Election day. I think many would agree) and called you a hack but I've always liked you and even riceowl. I don't know that those feelings were ever mutual but oh well.

Keystone Phil will be a valuable asset to the Republican Party once he grows up and becomes more moderate.
