Maybe if it's a profile picture. But other than that it's just being bitter.

Doesn't that kind of give the message of "I hate you so much I refuse to even recognize that I'd ever stand next to you"?

I think that's a pretty crappy thing to do.

We're all 'wanted by the authorities', Peter, in a larger sense.

a) I see no need for "social networking sites."
b) I see no need for you to post a picture of your face on said sites.

However, being that you've already done those to things, I say leave it.  People know you were an item.  And if you were together because you "loved" each other, then taking the pictures down just shows how truly shallow was your "love."

Delete? No.

But taking them out of your immediate sight for a while is probably good for the health of your soul.

I'm not the biggest fan of MyFace in the world, but it makes remembering birthdays, planning events and keeping in touch with friends much easier than the telephone and the USPS mail forwarding system...

If the person you broke up with was female, you can be most assured she will be lamenting with her friends about what a total jerk you are.  And, if you removed all of the pictures of the two of you from the internet, you've just given her proof lol

I don't know about how a guy would react to it, because I'm not one lol  I'd assume they'd be upset, though.

I've actually never texted and I'm proud of it.

Anyway, do whatever you feel like. Who cares about her?

She'd still think you were a jerk for listening to her lol  Girls are weird like that.

And she'd be upset about that after she wasn't as emotional, too.

Then don't do it. If she complains she should just stop talking and take the hint.

In most cases I would purge them. If the person continues to be a true friend (not just in the cordial way) then it's okay to keep them, but anything sort of intimate should go. I never would put that sort of thing up in the first place.

If you're into Stalinism however, you can always try your hand at photoshoping them out. Nothing more satisfying that removing a lousy wench from an otherwise good picture.

The past is the past, you can't forget it but you have to move on. Deleting the pictures would be trying to forget it in a way which as I said you can't. Don't delete them and just move on.

Then do it.  Not all girls are like Rin-chan thinks.  And if she is, she only has herself to blame for her bitterness.  If you want to avoid any conflict or anything, just do what she wants to do.  You obviously don't know what you want to do and if she's adamant about it, fine.  If she has a problem it's up to her to communicate that.  Otherwise it's not worth fighting for.

I already deleted them, except the prom pictures because I personally think it's ridiculous to even delete something like prom pictures - my sister still has prom stuff from her ex boyfriend, and she's got another boyfriend now.

My ex g/f said something about it being a chapter of our life that's over now, and we need to move on, and I was thinking, yeah, so you just move on, you don't burn that chapter of the book.  Whatever - I just posted this to see if I was crazy or something.  For once I got something in a relationship right!  Too bad it was about what to do after you break up.  Cry

If you enter a new relationship, it might be appropriate. I always find it a bit weird when people have facebook-pictures of their ex-partners and themselves looking in love next to pictures of a similar nature, but containing them and their current partners.

But anyway. You have every right to keep them. If I were to venture a guess, a move like that is an indication that she's not over you, in the widest sense of the word. If you move on, you just do it. That's my experience anyway.
