I think New Hampshire would've been difficult, and to a lesser extent Deleware as well.

LOL!  Kucinich would lose in a landslide to any sane candidate.  If that man is president, I would leave the country.

Thank goodness he won't be.

lol is right, except I on the other hand support many of his policies. He would win a few New England states, at least Vermont.

Kucinich would struggle to reach Dukakis levels in the electoral vote by relying on states where opposition to the war and the Republican brand were strong enough to get people to vote for him. Key to Obama's win was that he looked credible on the economic crisis while McCain didn't. Also, running against Kucinich, McCain wouldn't have had to nominate Palin as a Hail Mary pass.

Flip Minnesota, Washington, California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachussetts, and ME-02, and I agree with you.

that said, I think he would moderate some of his positions if it started to look like he had a realistic shot at winning.

He is absolutely unelectable and radical.  He couldn't even win his home county in the 2004 presidential primaries.

Don't make me laugh. He has only one certain victory: DC. He might win in a state or two in addition - but even that would be very, very difficult. For him to get 100 electoral votes, his opponent would have to be Rush Limbaugh.

Hilarious.

If Dennis Kucinich had become the Democratic nominee in 2008, I can assure you, like many people on this forum, that he would have lost by a landslide to Senator John McCain. The only two states I am certain Kucinich would win would be VT and DC, potentially NY, MA and RI as well.

BTW: Why is the percentages on your map identical to the 2004 results?

No way. He'd struggle even in Vermont.

Kucinich beat Palin?  Hahahhaa.

Both have limited bases, but Palin's is a LOT bigger.

Palin takes California.

Just color it blue.  Keebler Elf claims he sees UFOs.

let's not get carried away here. I think this is a case where you'd see a strong 3rd party movement. This is probably one of the few scenarios where Mike Bloomberg could win the presidency.

he'd at least win the Black Belt, the Reservations, and a few college towns.

Not at all. Any half-decent third-party candidate would easily win in VT in this case, but assuming it is one-on-one Palin-Kucinich match-up, I sincerely don't know who'd win Smiley  (the state, of course: no question, Palin would landslide nationwide).

Are you f***ing kidding me?  How many times must it be said that Kucinich merely said he saw something ONE TIME in the sky that he didn't know what it was.  He didn't make it an issue AT ALL, the media did.
