Friday night, my friends and I went out and one friend smokes but was out, so we picked up a pack of Marlboro's to smoke at the pool hall. I've got about eight left and we'll prolly finish them off the next day or so.

I consider myself a non-smoker. People who smoke 2-3 packs a day...smoke 40-60 cigarettes in a 24-hrs period. When 2008 ends, the most I will have smoked all year will have been the equivalent of one pack, and that's only because I smoked a good deal of them in the last weekend.

Drum rolling tobacco....

Props to all of you young 'uns for not smoking. That doesn't have to mean you all have to be so judgmental. I have 7+ years of college under my belt and am not " a moron" by normal standards. This doesn't mean I don't make stupid lifestyle choices, but if y'all could cut us older folks a break for making a choice to live a moderately unhealthy lifestyle, that would be cool.

Thanks!

Wrong.  You're a moron and you should be ineligible for any national health care service that President Obama manages to enact

I do not claim moral superiority, but I never have smoked and never will.

Smoking should be banned everywhere, except in the privacy of one's own home, and then only if there are no minors in the home.

A basically non smoking society would, obviously, cut down on health care costs tremendously, saving billions of dollars to the health care system.

Only an ignorant clod  who has no consideration for those around him or her would smoke in the presence of others, unless, of course, all are ignorant clods and are all smoking together.

What!  Surely Winfield at least smokes a pipe while he peruses his stock reports.

Yea what a great way to get the government off the average joe's back. Nanny State Socialism is advocated by both sides of the ideological spectrum it seems.

Once Anti Smoking Nazis get smoking banned in public and vehicles, they will come next to ban smoking all together and our freedom will be  in danger my friends. Adults over the age of 18 are responsible enough to decide what to put into their own bodies. Its a shame people let their bigotry against smokers cloud their judgment.

I would thought so myself. I wouldn't be surprised if he gave up on them after his shares in the NYSE collapsed back in October '29.

I pointed out the price of a carton of cigarettes to my wife last weekend, only to find out it was the price of a single pack!  YIKES!

I believe obese citizens such as Straha are more of a burden on our health care system than smokers

A carton of cigarettes here now averages just under $40.

It's amazing that you have to pay $5.99 for a pack of American Spirits but a pack of "little cigars" is only $1.29.

Who knew there would be so much thread sh**tting in this one?  That's right, everybody knew!  Fat people and smokers are the only people left EVERYBODY gets to make fun of and fat people are starting to get pissed off.  They'd march to protest the unfair treatment, but there is a really good episode of Judge Judy on.
