Vote explanation:

1. I actually let a random number generator do it for me. Couldn't decide for myself, because several of the people on the list offered so much that was invaluable this year.

2. While Joe remains (intentionally) funniest poster of all time I haven't noticed much funniness from him this year. In fact, I haven't noticed anything from him this year. Where did he go? Boards I don't visit?

3. Ghostmonkey was just annoying and Angel from Kansas is old news by now.

4. Lunar shaped much of the election debate by controlling the information flow . He also became part of the forum elite which automatically yields influence.

7. It has to be Carl. He seems genuinely angry about those things he care about. Phil and States don't come off as that angry (maybe bitter is the more appropriate word) and DWTL appears fake to me when it comes to emotions like that.

8. The one that got the most attention.

9. Torie brought a lot of valuable insight to the forum. We have few people from that generation, few people of considerable wealth and few people with that kind of economic knowledge.

10. Al has been here the longest of those and has been Hall of Fame material from the beginning. He has to get it before any of the others do, basically.

11. All were good, but I had the feeling Alcon's was very thought through. Sam was mysterious as usual and seemed to underestimate Obama's win a little bit (as did I). I give it to Alcon but it could probably go to anyone.

12. Haven' really followed those this year, but I still recall PBrunsel's with pleasure from previous years so he gets my vote.

13. Yeah, I liked that joke too so I copied it.
