Lets see who can figure out which public person said the following:

"We know we can't count on the French. We know we can't count on the Russians,. We know that Iraq is a danger to the United States, and we reserve the right to take pre-emptive action whenever we feel it's in our national interest."

Congragulations.

I was hoping for some fire breathing lefty to make the wrong id.

I guess this spikes Kerry's recent, 'we shouldn't have invaded Iraq' tirade.

Buth then again, Kerry has not exactly been a model of consistency.

In fact, he is the best witness against himself.

Since Kerry said that, US have invaded Iraq and found no WMD and no important ties to al-Qaida. Which means he was wrong about Iraq being "a danger to the United States", just as the Bush administration and most of the politicians in congress were. The difference, therefore, between Bush and Kerry, is that Kerry adjusts to new realities, Bush sticks to the failed arguments and policies of the past.

I agree that you couldn't have said it better. Unfortunately, that's not saying much.

This is good. Since apparently you agree that Kerry can now shut the hell up about Bush lying to the American people, why don't you send him an email?

The failed policies of the past? Uh, you mean like winning?

If you present me with the statement in which Kerry said Bush is "lying to the American people", I'll take a stand, although I probably won't send him an e-mail if your point is right, basically because I don't think Kerry would care much.

The failed policies of the past? Uh, you mean like winning?

No, I mean like screwing up Iraq big time.

He usually phrases it as mislead.

What's been messed up? Honestly, I have no clue what you're talking about.

Then don't say he's saying Bush is lying.

It's OK. Read a newspaper or something and you'll understand.

misleading = lying

Less than 25 people per state have died...democratic elections are scheduled for January...12/15 precincts peaceful...Saddam on trial...

I'm just waiting for the messed up part.

I'm just waiting for the messed up part.

lie = to totally avoid the truth
mislead = to lead in the wrong direction or to not tell the hole truth

I've explained the messed up part in another thread, as you are aware of.

Free elections are in danger, as Rumsfeld told us a couple of days ago.
