...and this happens...

Would you leave where ever you are now? If so, where in the world would you move?

Personally, I can't say that I'd have much of a problem living in "Atlantic America" but I'd probably move to Italy.

Depends. If I could stay in the California Republics speaking English, fine. If they forced me to learn Mandarin, I would leave for Canada.

I'd head over to Ireland or Australia.

But for the record, this Russian professor is incredibly stupid and the publicity and recognition he is receiving for this is just numbing.

The most ridiculous part of this idea is that the borders would split exactly upon state lines.

That being said, I'd move to either the Canadian or European Union zones.

More ridiculous than Utah joining China or Mississippi joining Mexico?

More ridiculous than Utah joining China or Mississippi joining Mexico?

Both are perfectly rational ideas Tongue

I would definitely be joining the resistance movement in the California Republics region against Chinese occupation if this absurd scenario were to transpire during my lifetime....

Hmm . . . it would depend mostly on the economics.  However, I could easily seeing myself split and move to Singapore.

There's no way in Hell any non-Texas state would join something called the "Texas Republic," that's for sure, nor that any state would allow itself to influenced by Mexico rather than Canada.
If I'm somehow full of crap and this does happen, I'll move to Tennessee or South Carolina (which, um, have a lot more in common with Mississippi than Massachusetts/Europe, but o well)...

I guess you guys didn't see the other topic.  Tongue

Just for the record, though, this is all for fun. I obviously don't take this seriously.

Christ I wish he was right - Missouri falls under Canadian ownership or influence.  I dearly wish I were a Canadian.  Not as good as being a European, but still, a hell of an improvement.

Actually, were the US to actually split (hilarious as that idea is, especially for the near future) split upon state lines it almost certainly would, with no more than 1-2 exceptions at most. The past determines the future; there are sound administrative and constitutional reasons for it too. Think 1860.

To avoid being forced to address everyone as comrade, I'd move to Chicago.

I would join the resistence to the EU.

Don't worry once we liberate the East Coast we'll come and save you from the mongoloid Russians

This guy obviously doesn't know a goddamn thing about the US. He thinks all the East Coast is Mass style liberals and the Southwest would be under Mexico before MS or LA(you think they would be just a little pissed off. I'd could see a South Central Republican Army like the IRA forming and engaging in terrorist activities).
