After pretty much a two-month break from major political obsession, my focus is about to restart, this time focusing on the 2010 mid-terms.  My biggest interests will be to get a Democrat to replace Gov. Brad Henry who will be term-limited (a possible-to-probable task), to getting rid of Sen. Tom Coburn (a tough feat).  A lesser interest, but still an interest, is to see if the Republicans can have a better cycle than the past two.

After President Obama has been in office 8-9 months (meaning this fall), I will start the focus on 2012 and who is likely to challenge Obama in the primaries and who is likely to vie to oppose him from the Republican side.

Nah.  They are both awful.  One is just slightly more capable and intelligent than the other.  But we'd be well rid of both.  And in the spirit of bi-partisanship, I'll cheerfully throw Robert Byrd under the bus with them.

If Coburn and Inhofe are terrible people, which they are, then that means the entire Oklahoma electorate are terrible people too because they elected them. But then again what's the point of stating the obvious eh?

What's the point of stating something that's false?

I like this.

But in defense of Oklahomans, they've gotten it right some of the time anyway.  Governor Henry's been a pretty good egg.  And while he was awfully conservative, I think Don Nickles wasn't  batsh**t crazy...
