I'm all for Jeb for whatever office he runs for...but yeah...I honestly can see him being elected in about eight years.

Let me guess, if the American people were stupid enough to have a 3rd President Bush, the Bush family would have the worst THREE Presidents for job creation since Hoover.

Wouldn't any father want to see his son elected President?

I think Jeb is definitely Sr's favorite... but honestly, Jeb is as qualified as anybody in politics to be President.

I wish you Republicans would get over this. Jeb Bush is no longer a viable candidate for either Executive office. You had your chance and you blew it on Dubya.

Would he be better or worse than his brother?

Anyway, good luck with that.

Yeah. Seriously, what else was Poppy Bush going to say? "The dumb son screwed the pooch for him"?

Jeb is better than George (not that that's saying much...) but I'm pretty sure Dubya destroyed the viability of the Bush name.

I agree with this. It would have been nice if we had had Jeb in office for the last eight years as opposed to his brother, but we didn't. Jeb has no chance of becoming President.

While I disagree with his politics, Jeb is obviously more qualified to be president than his idiot brother, and truly was unjustly screwed by that jackass deciding to run. Although you really can't blame Bush, because it's up to the people to decide who wins.

Yes I think the american people tend to like a jackass.

As for Jeb, he's more likely to be president than anyone reading this post, but I doubt the elder jackass will live long enough to see it.

Bush 41 is quite something.  He is "old school" and modest about himself, but he thinks his sons are entitled to unmittigated rule of the universe.  I agree that every father probably feels some of this, and I agree that Jeb would have been better at the job than George Jr. and I agree that it's the people's job to choose their leaders.   But good grief, shouldn't even parents have some sense of what their own kids can and can't do well?  One thing I did catch H.W. admitting in that interview is that "the president deserves criticism for some things...just not for everything."
