HC and responsible for most of the 20th century's evil. I support any group wanting to break away from Russia along with any group what wants to take down Russia/ethnic russians.

A great country, though unfortunate with its rulers.

FC. I am strongly opposed to its current leadership (and would have opposed most of its past rulers, too), but I very rarely judge countries by their leadership, unlike some people. Despite an awful leadership, Russia is a great country.

HC

A country scarred by decades of communist cultural genocide run by corporatist oligarchs and mobsters with a ravenous yearning for power.

All hail Russia, another pole of cynical capitalist power. May you never be quite as wretched as the United States.

The majority of its population tends to have horrible political preferences. Putin/Medvedev are actually pretty popular and they also think that Stalin was a great leader. So the Russians are at best to be described as naive.

On the plus side... well, not everybody is so naive and they had some gifted authors/musicians/movie directors as well as scientists.

As much as I dislike the current government there, I can't vote against a place with the sort of cultural legacy that Russia has.

An unfortunate country, deeply depressed and depressive, as a nation and as people taken individually.
Not a Freedom country, nor politically, neither psychologically. Russia is globally prisoner of its own past.

Who are you to describe them as naive for believing the man that succesfully lead them through their own industrial revolution, success in World War II, and lead them to become a super power wasn't a great leader?

It is you who is naive.

After what happened in the 90's, this is not surprising.

Why do you want ethnic Russians taken down? What have they done exactly to you for you to hate them like that?
