Considering it would be the most amusing to tell both Jefferson Davis and P.W. Botha that an African-American would ever be elected President of the United States then of course, I would tell them, bearing in mind if I had a time machine.

If I had a time machine, I would realize that if I go back in time and tell someone about the election, then that has already happened and they already found out about the election result from me. Knowing this, there wouldn't be any motivation to go back and tell them. So it wouldn't actually ever happen.
