I honestly have to probably go with Romney. He is the only one I am concerned about at all as a Democrat. Huckabee, Jindal, and Palin are complete jokes.

I'm not sure he's the most electable on this list, but don't just quickly write off Jindal, guys. He's intelligent and a capable leader; if his organizational talent displays itself in his (hypothetical) presidential campaign then he could give Obama a run for his money.

it depends what you mean. Crist or Romney might have the highest 'floor' although I think Jindal gives you the best chance to actually win.

Huntsman is the only one on the list who does not make me want to hold my nose, and some I cannot and will not vote for if they secure the nomination (absent some rather large and unexpected events transpiring).
Crist and Huntsman are the most electable. Which one is
the
most electable of those on the list I guess turns out how an autopsy of Crist's sex life turns out. The cupboard is pretty thin isn't it?

It isn't. There are alot of Republican that could be Obama if he doesnt do that well. But most of them people will never win the primary. For Ex. Sen. Collins or Sen. Snowe could win, but they are to far left for the base.

Protestant africans such as Obama are a tad less foreign than south asian catholics like Jindal. The only way Jindal could give Obama a run for his money would be if obama messes up.

Jindal is a dunce, regardless of his quota-fied level of education. The man wouldn't be able to make it out of the primaries; if he did, you'd see the entire Appalachian region move into toss-up range posthaste.

Ideologically, sure. But stuck with a choice between a black and a Punjab, they aren't going to turn out and Jindal will lose.

Probably Romney ...
Romney is a good candidate when the economy is bad (which was 2008), or so it was said.
But in late 2012, I think the US economy will be growing again by at least 2-3%.
And Romney is also a uncharismatic dog-abusing creep, with lots of money.
Huckabee is a Poor, McCain an Old and Palin a Retard ...
The GOP now has about 3 years to come up with a young, charismatic candidate with a coherent message who can raise 500 Mio. to 1 Bio. $ to challenge Obama. Otherwise Obama gets reelected.
Maybe Rick Perry should run ... ?

The problem is there isn't any young Repubican that could do that go toe-to-toe with Obama in 2012. Republicans really need to look at 2016, not 2012. Because unless Obama screws up very badly he will get re-elected.

Not saying this is quite a direct comparison, but Louisiana does have the Punjab as its governor even though they voted against the black.

If the economy is still struggling, Mitt Romney will become President.
If we get into a war, I expect a Republican, possibly Thune. We'll have to put someone up with foreign policy experience.
Obama will have to have a clean 4 years to win. A lot of people, especially youth, voted for him on more personal reasons. Once they see that he might not be the leader he said he would be, they will easily be able to dump him...
In the future...Aaron Schock. He's going to be the next Reagen.
