Is it me, or does the conventional wisdom here on Romney seem to have turned upside down now that he's not running against Giuliani and McCain?

It's not just you.

I think Romney is the most obvious choice right now, but in a few years that may change to Crist, Huntsman, Barbour (Lol) or Gingrich (even bigger LOL).

That's only of the options here, of course...

Other: Chuck Hagel, Colin Powell, a resurrected Abraham Lincoln... all are equally likely.

Actually, I'll throw out an "Other: Patraeus", which is more feasible, though not by much.
