Douglas was only seriously mentioned as a candidate should Leahy retire or by fools

Leahy has no reason to retire

And this is surprising? No one suggested Doublas run against Leahy, he would get clobbered. Though that marging is comapratively smaller than many of Leahy's races. I think they should have polled it as an open seat cause that is the only time a race for the Senate in VT would remotely matter or somehow claim to be competative.

Plus I dobut Leahy will retire anytime soon. He is the chairman of the Judiciary committee and will get to push through Obama's judges.

Pointless mental masturbation for Democrats.  Move along, everyone else, nothing to see here.

If anything, this poll was an attempt to silence the pointless mental masturbation of Republicans who liked to keep an asterisk & footnote next to this race
