I agree that those who avoid spicy food are similar to babies, and do tend to whine a lot (generally people who are fearful of life and what it offers tend to complain a lot and be unpleasant and annoying).

Interestingly, here in Thailand non-spicy food is quite literally for babies - they make special dishes with little or no spice for little kids.  So western food is considered to be basically like just eating baby food all your life.

Well, I apologize if that post was a bit offensive.. I should have said you are a 'culinary bore' or something like that.  You're actually an interesting poster, of course. 

But I was a little shocked that you would dismiss something as simple and commonplace as a national cuisine without even trying it.  Have you smelled Indian food before and been revolted, or something like that?  In fairness the Thais, who eat intensely flavoured foods, and a lot of really bizarre foods, are mostly disgusted by Indian food - the smell and the style of spicing offends them.  Interestingly, they are also tremendously bigoted against Indian people, and consider them the smelliest of the smelly races (whites are considered smellier and more disgusting than Asians, blacks even worse, and Indians the worst of all).

Now, I certainly don't mean to imply that you have to try everything before rejecting it - for example homosexual acts.  But Indian food is just food, for gosh sakes, KP.
