Under pressure, she succumbs like soft butter does to a knife.  Boxer is no rocket scientist, but she is a bit smarter, and has balls, and I respect that.  Obviously, I prefer that someone like Torie (to pick a name at random ) represented California. Another observation, is that the talent pool of Pubbies in California is about as deep as the Rio Grande in the dry season.

By the way, about 10 years ago or so, Boxer went to charm school, got a new "do," and became considerably  less of the uber bitch that she once was.  No, I am not making this up; it's true!
