I'd say his fifteen minutes are probably up.

You know, I'm a big fan of "You never know..." but I think it's pretty safe to say that Rudy is probably burned out. I guess it's not completely out of the question since he seems to be floating his name for elected office in New York.

Intrade's got him at 6.1, surprisingly enough.

Maybe if he tries again, he might actually get a delegate.

doubt it: by 2012, he will have been out of elected office for more than a decade, and he did himself huge damage with his awful 2008 campaign.

I would love nothing more than to see him run again. He's purchased "joinrudy2012.com," but somehow I doubt he runs unless he thinks he has a chance. Perhaps if the GOP adopts a new primary schedule where he could actually win an early primary, he may jump in.

In 2012, the war should not be as big of an issue, and his fiscal conservative, socially liberal stances may play better in New Hampshire without him mentioning 9/11 or invading Russia all the time. Without the war, I don't see why he shouldn't perform well in a state like New Hampshire, especially with McCain off the ballot.

I don't see it.  I think he's lost his credibility, and whatever popularity he once had.

Honestly, I never really made that connection until right now... that's funny. Seriously, ha-ha funny.

Anyway, I think he very well may try again, his ego is just that big.

Will he do any better? Well, he couldn't do any worse...

Without a McCain like figure in there to attract moderates, he could do better than in 2008. If it's just Romney, Huckabee, and Palin, I hope he does run. He might have a fighting chance in the far right vote is splintered.

Guiliani has too many strikes against him.

1.) He's twice divorced. The only divorced President we ever had was Reagan, and he was so beloved that even his ex-wife was for him.

2.) He's a crossdresser.

3.) His whole shtick is about 9/11 this and 9/11 that, people now don't care about 9/11 anymore.

4.) He's from New York City, which to mean that he is too provincial and definitely not "middle American".

5.) He's Italian. Now personally I would love to have an Italian President, but most non Italian people have these stereotypes of Italians as gangsters or pizza makers with 5 daughters named Maria.

6.) He's not the Antichrist, Obama is. The only entity that can beat the Antichrist is God, and Guiliani is not a Jewish carpenter, so that leaves him right out.

There is only so far you can run on 9/11 and warmongering alone. And he has already run himself straight into the ground. Even if he does try again he will be out faster than he was the last time.

Giuliani's more or less a has been. His "appeal" has all but eroded. 2012 senate polls show him faring worse in the state than other Republican options. The poll even has him losing to no-name candidate Steve Israel. That's now, by 2012 there wont be any positive lasting memory of him.

I'm a Rudy fan, but he's done.  He can't even win a statewide office in New York.  I'd love to see him run for mayor of NYC again, but I don't even think he would win that.

Only thing he would win is Staten Island

I used to like him when I was less libertarian, but the only Republicans I could consider supporting for President now who are likely to run would be Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, & Mitt Romney.

It's not like I liked putting Romney there. But his corporate background & sanity regarding the teaching of evolution made me realize that he's infinitely better than any other Republican who could actually win. For me it's like:

Gary Johnson
Ron Paul

Mitt Romney

The rest of the Republican field
